Data Notes

  • The 3-D variables like temperature (TEMP) and salinity (SALT) are exactly the same as the native CESM monthly-averaged output. However, the data for 2-D variables, such as SST, come from two different streams. 2-D variable data for years 0021-0337 are from the native monthly-averaged streams, but the 2-D data for years 0338-0519 have been derived by averaging the daily output stream from CESM into monthly-averaged output.
